A relatively mellow and at times eerie sounding street noises of a stroll through east village, nyc. Also edited with a little snip and for a little loudness.
The phonogne sampler can not handle as long samples as morphagene. I descided to make a phonogne version of mithimightbe's sound https://freesound. Org/people/mithimightbe/sounds/407072/.
A riding experience. A train leaves one station and reaches another. The original wav file sounds thick and heavy, i mean, sounds good, but the size becomes big as well. The outline of the sound is well described at mp3, too.
This sound field recording was made back in 2000 on a very late/early morning. I placed the sony microphone ontop of the car outside to record the crickets and cicadas. There were a lot of mosquitos out that hot night. One of them landed on the mic and actually bit the microphone. You have to listen close but the bug bites at about 14:28 and removes the mosquito blood sucker at about 34:28. If you want to hear it clearly i made an episode about the "hungry bug" on my show the "sound effects podcast" http://soundeffectspodcast.
